Bourke is rich in history and culture – every history buff’s dream. During our peak season (May – September) there is an abundance of activities to keep those willing and wanting to explore, occupied!
Some activities include: hop on board the Jandra Paddleboat, walk through our Exhibition Centre and wander through Bourke’s history, Indigenous walking tour, Crossley Engine start up, a visit to Fred Hollows Memorial, Gundabooka National Park plus much much more…

There is plenty to see and do whilst visiting our slice of the Australian outback, so don’t be surprised seeing yourself staying an extra night, two, three….or maybe a week while making us your base to explore!

Make sure to book ahead in Peak Season (May – September) to guarantee a spot!
